Good luck to Australia’s Special Olympics team heading off to Los Angeles this week for the World Summer Games.

Seventy-six Australians will make their way into the Los Angeles Memorial Colosseum to represent the nation at this year’s Summer Games from 25 July to 2 August.

The Games are the largest sporting event in the world this year, with 7,000 athletes from 177 countries set to compete across 26 sports.

The Australian team will wear the green and gold in 12 sports: aquatics, athletics, basketball, bocce, equestrian, football, Golf, gymnastics, sailing, softball, tennis and tenpin bowling.
