2000 children set to benefit from NDIS in the Nepean and Blue Mountains region

Debbie Rolfe has fought “tooth and nail” for every crumb of support for her two children, who have both been diagnosed with autism, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder and oppositional defiant disorder.

The Mount Victoria mother is awaiting the early roll out of the National Disability Insurance Scheme in the Nepean and Blue Mountains region with a mix of optimism and curiosity about what it will offer Lachlan, 16, and Emily, 13.

Initially available for 2000 children and teenagers, the scheme launches on Wednesday, with support packages available from September.
