Dubbo disability service providers score NDIS-ready funding

Dubbo’s Orana Early Childhood Intervention and MacKillop Rural Community Services will share in $150,000 allocated to the Dubbo electorate to help disability service providers get ready for the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).

Other providers getting funding are Lifeskills Plus and Mudgee Disability Support in Mudgee, and the Wellington Multi Service Centre in Wellington.

The $150,000 is coming from the state government’s $4 million  Transition Assistance Program (TAP) aimed at helping providers in regional and remote communities prepare for the introduction of the NDIS.

Updating of business plans and buying new software are among the ways the program money will be spent.
