Helping hand for star on the rise

SAM Marthick, of Burnie, has seen incredible success in recent months, being selected in Tasmanian teams in football and basketball.

Mr Marthick is a National Disability Insurance Scheme participant with cerebral palsy and his mother, Shari, highlighted how the NDIS had helped with Sam’s progress in sport.

“They have been really good. With Sam working 25 hours a week, he doesn’t get a lot of free time and the NDIS provide a personal trainer who works with Sam twice a week,” Mrs Marthick said.
