NDIS rollout predicted to bring 1200-job bonanza to Barwon region

THE Barwon region can expect 1200 new jobs during the next three years with growth of the National Disability Insurance Scheme, according to latest modelling.

National Disability Service Victoria chief David Moody believes the diversity of employment opportunities, from occupational therapists to drivers, gardeners and more, will challenge traditional perception of disability support work.

The 1200 new positions will be separate from an expected 350 jobs at Geelong’s new National Disability Insurance Agency headquarters.
