NDIS – Where are we at? September 2014

More than 8,800 people with disability are now living their lives with an approved NDIS plan out of almost 11,000 people eligible for the scheme.

The report shows that people participating in the scheme are still very satisfied with the way it’s working and includes information on package costs, time taken from application to delivery, and heaps of statistics and numbers from round the trial sites.

The latest report is the first to include information from the new trial sites in the ACT, the Barkly region of the Northern Territory and the Perth Hills in Western Australia.

  • $395.3 million has been spent so far
  • Average package $39,087
  • More than 450,000 people across Australia waiting for the NDIS.
